Songleikr is a project rooted in a deep love for Nordic folk music. Weaving together traditional stories with new musical creations, the group celebrates live music, people and connection.
Fronted by the voices of three gifted singers: Maria Franz, Ingrid Auné Falch and Kasia Sikora-Black, Songleikr enchanted me with the beautifully written songs that carry similar magic to the well beloved traditionals… the pure sound and intricate vocal arrangements are beyond soothing.
“Svarvi” is the first single to an album - recorded and mixed by Mona Hynne - and I was honored to help with co-production in the last stage of the process.
