Francesca was born near the Italian Alps. Her northern Italian mother transmitted to her a love for northern European Celtic lore, music and spirituality. Her father’s lineage comes from Sardinia, an ancient island filled with legends, sacred sites and folklore. With her Celtic harp, drum and voice she translates the enchantment to songs - some light and fairylike, others dark and earthy. For this album I helped her create a sonic world beyond her instruments and voice, both by having guest musicians and by adding some other layers of sounds.
